ARIANNA + JEFF’S OTTER CLIFFS ACADIA NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT

Arianna and Jeff traveled from New Hampshire to get married in Acadia National Park, choosing Otter Cliffs for their ceremony with the ocean stretching out behind them. They have visited Acadia several times together and always felt connected to this place, so it made perfect sense to come back for their wedding day.

Their ceremony was small and intimate, surrounded by the people closest to them. Arianna’s parents and sisters stood nearby along with Jeff’s parents as the two of them shared vows in the sun. It was one of those clear coastal mornings where everything feels calm and bright, and their words to each other matched that energy perfectly. After the ceremony we stayed at Otter Cliffs for family portraits, soaking in the views and the excitement of the moment before heading out to explore.

If you’re still deciding where to hold your ceremony, I break down more location ideas in my guide to the BEST LOCATIONS FOR ELOPEMENTS IN ACADIA NATIONAL PARK.

Exploring Otter Point and Hunters Beach

Once family photos wrapped up, it was just the three of us wandering through Acadia. Since Arianna and Jeff already knew the park well, the plan was to revisit some favorite spots and add in something new.

We stopped at Otter Point first, letting them take in the cliffs and the open water while easing into portraits. They were relaxed, playful, and clearly comfortable being out in nature together. Traveling is a big part of their relationship and they have been working their way through national parks across the country, so this day felt like a continuation of their adventures rather than a formal event.

From there we headed to Hunters Beach, a place they had never been before. Watching them experience a new part of Acadia on their wedding day was such a fun surprise. The beach was full of texture, movement, and the softest light bouncing off the water. We ended up staying far longer than planned because every turn revealed something new. The lighting was too good to leave, and the shoreline gave us endless space to explore.

We actually skipped our final planned location because Hunters Beach had everything we needed. Sometimes the best decision on an elopement day is slowing down and letting a place unfold naturally instead of rushing to the next stop. Days like this are why I always recommend building flexibility into your timeline, which I talk more about in my post on my blog, THE PERFECT ACADIA NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT TIMELINE.

Cake, Family, and a Sweet Ending

After exploring the coast, we returned to their Airbnb where their families were staying. Arianna and Jeff cut a small cake from Frank’s Bakery, surrounded by laughter and hugs. It was a simple, joyful ending to a day that never felt rushed or complicated.

They even sent me off with two slices of cake, which felt extra meaningful since their wedding happened to fall on my anniversary with my partner. It was one of those small, human moments that makes elopement days feel personal for everyone involved.

Arianna and Jeff are the kind of couple that makes you believe in building a life around shared experiences. They travel often, chase new landscapes together, and treat every trip like an opportunity to grow closer. Getting married in Acadia was another chapter in that story, and it fit them perfectly.

Planning an Otter Cliffs Elopement in Acadia

Otter Cliffs is one of the most dramatic ceremony locations in Acadia National Park. The sweeping ocean views and rugged coastline create an incredible backdrop while still being accessible for family members. Pairing it with time at Hunters Beach or Otter Point gives couples a mix of cliffs, shoreline, and quieter corners of the park to explore without needing a packed timeline.

If you are dreaming of an Acadia elopement that feels relaxed, scenic, and centered on time together, days like Arianna and Jeff’s are a perfect example of how simple and meaningful it can be.
